Mike Mardy

Mike Mardy is the board room sage you call upon when you require razor-edge fiscal acumen, the wisdom of long experience, and the up-front honesty to put the truth right in your face – all with a touch of wry humor.  As an independent member of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters’ board, Mike has shepherded that firm through an SEC inquiry, then taken over that firm’s board chair seat, performing a total board makeover which set it up for a sweetly advantageous sale.  Working with founding CEO Herb Lottman, Mike helped transform Keystone Foods into the largest supplier of meat for McDonalds, and most recently guided the luggage firm Tumi Holdings into a merger with Samsonite.

In his caroming career, Mike has played professional basketball in France, served as Senior VP and CFO of Nabisco, and currently brings his talents to David’s Tea as Board member and Audit Committee Chair.  To listen to his personal governance experiences is an MBA course in itself.   Wise quote: “Despite all the criticism, the United States is still the best place in the world to invest money.”  Mike can be contacted at mjmardy@gmail.com.
