Marilou Halvorsen

Marilou Halvorsen knows how people want to be treated.  And she has devoted her career out of showing the hospitality industries how to treat folks better and more profitably.  As President of the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association, Marilou sheds promotional light on the Garden State’s restaurants, provides a wealth of educational systems for food entrepreneurs, and fights for common sense legislation for this statewide $12 billion industry.  Energetically she brings practical solutions and advocacy on such issues as immigration reform, liquor licensing, and even marijuana use.

Previously, Marilou chaired the Garden State’s Legalize Games of Chance Control Commission and served in several capacities on the Tourism Commission.  She also directed marketing for one of Jersey’s top resort hotspots, Jekinson’s Boardwalk.
